IVFB Receives Highest Ratings from Non-profit Evaluators
For over 30 years, the Imperial Valley Food Bank has maintained a reputation of accountability and transparency. As we begin 2023, we are more focused than ever on providing our community with the highest level of customer service by increasing our online presence, sharing our financial documents and annual report, and providing educational resources.
We are excited to announce that through our efforts we have been given the highest ratings by non-profit evaluators Candid and Charity Navigator. Candid and Charity Navigator provide the public with access to data, tools, and resources, so donors can make smart decisions about where to donate.
Candid (formerly known as Guidestar), a leading charity watchdog organization, has awarded us with its 2022 Platinum Seal of Transparency—the highest level of achievement. This high rating means that we share clear and important information with the public about our goals, strategies, capabilities, and achievements. Our Candid profile adds an extra level of transparency and makes it easier for you to support our work with trust and confidence.
IVFB has the highest Four-Star rating on Charity Navigator, which rates thousands of 501(c)(3) nonprofits, commonly referred to as charities. Organizations must have an Impact & Results score and/or an Accountability & Finance score to be eligible for a rating. A Four-Star rating means that the IVFB “exceeds or meets best practices and industry standards across almost all areas and is likely to be a highly-effective charity.”
We are grateful for the continued trust from our network of donors, volunteers, staff, partnering agencies and clients. If you are interested in joining our mission to end hunger in Imperial Valley, please visit our donation page.
