Meet Cari, our new Agency Care Coordinator
In June 2022, Cari Augusta joined the Imperial Valley Food Bank (IVFB) as our new Agency Care Coordinator! IVFB has over 15 partner agencies (churches, food pantries, apartments, etc.) and Cari does an incredible job making sure they all have the information, policies, and software they need to successfully distribute food to the thousands of people they serve. Cari also manages our Senior Food Program, which distributes food boxes each month to approximately 720 seniors over the age of 60.
As the Westmorland Community Food Pantry Director, Cari has worked with IVFB and the Imperial County Public Health Department for many years and has extensive knowledge about our community. She works with volunteers to support the food pantry’s mission and has coordinated a summer meals program for children.
Cari previously worked as an Office Manager for Augusta & Sons, Inc. and Stockmen’s Club of Imperial Valley. As a Magnolia Union Elementary School Board Member, Westmorland Community Presbyterian Church Elder and Treasurer, and 4-H Community Leader and Project Leader for Magnolia 4-Club, she enjoys being involved in our community as a volunteer.
We can’t wait to see what else Cari will accomplish as an Agency Care Coordinator for IVFB!
